SUMMARY Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified In-Country (Togo)Team Lead for an international peacekeeping support contract that relies heavily on U.S. military, infantry training skills and contracted subject matter experts to provide training and assistance. The Team Lead will provide strategy, managerial, and administrative support to the Program Manager to fulfill the contract objectives.This position may require travel to and within countries with security, health, and other potentially dangerous conditions.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. * Duties and Responsibilities: The TL serves as the Project Manager's primary point of contact for contract execution, coordination, and management of GPOI contract activities in the respective African country. The TL is the primary interface with the U.S. Embassy, Host Nation military leadership, U.S. military and international trainers, and other stakeholders associated with contract execution. The TL manages personnel assignments across training tasks; maintains professional standards of accountability, quality, and effectiveness; monitors conduct and discipline and tracks the movement of his or her team members traveling to, working in, and departing from the host country; and ensures the conduct and quality of all task order activities and requirements.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. In-Country Team Lead.Minimum Qualifications: The TL shall have the following qualifications * US. Citizen. * Minimum of fifteen (15) years of military experience, which includes service after September 11, 2001. * Attainment of military grade of CW-3, E9, or O4 and * Demonstrated experience as a senior mentor/advisor, military or civilian, to a senior foreign security partner with directly related experience in capacity building and unit-level * Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building experience in the last 5 years. * Previous professional experience (in a military or civilian capacity) in Togo or region [region is defined as Sub-Saharan Africa] * Examples of previous experience working with training and military resource management issues at the operational level * (Preferred) Experience in organizational development, conducting activities intended to drive institutional improvement and self-sufficient organizational change. * (Preferred) Experience as trained and certified Foreign Area Officer (FAO) with regionally focused expertise, including in an Office of Security Cooperation or Defense Attaché * (Preferred) Experience in a U.S. or NATO military training and doctrine development organization, or permanent assignment to a S. or foreign military training school or combat training center.NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * This position is self-managed and works at the direction of the government and is directly related to the business operation supporting the customer's objectives. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations. Shareholder Preference.
