Job Overview & Conditions Oils, dust, debris, and other contaminants cause inefficiencies in heat exchangers and reduce heat transfer, leading to increased costs at refineries-this position exists to oversee the cleaning of tube exteriors (fin fan) that make up heat exchangers to remove these impurities and help to improve equipment efficiency. Working conditions are outside in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Work involves lifting of materials and/or product up to 50 pounds; operators use commercial hoses to clean the top/bottom of fin fans or as directed with foam application. Operations requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; FR Clothing eye safety goggles, steel-toed work boots, hardhats, and gloves. Work will be executed in the field for campaigns. Standard campaign shifts are 12-14-hour workdays, 7 days a week until the campaign is complete, and all demobilization / logistics are complete. Company policy is to take the 14th day of work as a day of rest. This is a project-based, variable hour position. Training begins in February with project work expected between March and September. Little to no work expected from October - January. Duties and Responsibilities Travel to and from job sites Send in all reimbursable expenses in a timely manner Take part in project orientation Take and pass all site required safety trainings Take part in equipment setup Take part in 2-day shadow program with FAS lead Perform foam application on both the top and bottom of fin fans Observe quality and safety of service throughout projects Take part in equipment breakdown Provide feedback to supervisor on both positive and negative observations in real time Completion of other tasks in a timely manner as assigned by direct Supervisor Expectations Competent problem solver Maintain safe work practices at all times Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner while on and off the job site Strive to bring the best out of team members and the customers we serve Promote team environment Accept feedback and continual effort towards improvement Respond to company requests in timely manner/meet deadlines Report to all required drug and alcohol testing appointments within 24 hours of notification Report to work on time Adhere to all company and customer policies and guidelines at all times Communicate commitment conflicts proactively Education / Preferred Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License/Identification Must have valid US documentation supporting your ability to work in the US Must be able to lift at least 50lbs Background history must pass all refinery requirements Must be able to pass English Competency Test Upon hire, candidates are required to undergo an I-9 verification process, confirming their eligibility to work in the United States by presenting valid identification documents. E-Verify, a crucial tool in this process, enhances the accuracy of employment eligibility verification by electronically comparing information from employee's I-9 form to government records.
