Overview: JHNA is seeking a Flight Controls Software/Computer Engineer. We have immediate openings for Flight Control Software/Computer Engineers to provide technical and programmatic support and oversight on the following aircraft systems, F-35, E-2, and F-18. The selected candidates will support the development and certification of safety critical, software intensive systems. Roles/Responsibilities: Provide technical and programmatic support and oversight of the following aircraft systems, F-35, E-2, and F-18. Support the development and certification of safety critical, software intensive systems. Specific areas of emphasis include system architecture definition, redundancy management, built-in-test (BIT) design, hardware and software design, development and qualification, control law design and analysis, system integration and test, autonomous vehicle control, and executing the role of flight control system software support activity. Certify that the integrated VCS meets airworthiness and performance requirements. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field. Must have an active Secret clearance. Experience in embedded computer resource utilization in safety-critical control system design, development, integration, test, and troubleshooting. Software testing at unit, component, and software configuration item levels with preference for safety-critical systems experience Software-intensive system test planning, execution, and reporting with software-intensive systems design, development, integration, test, troubleshooting, and maintenance skills, with preference for safety-critical systems experience. Multicore Processor Environment skill sets, in application to safety-critical control systems design, development, integration, test, troubleshooting, and sustainment. Low-level software experience with hardware interfacing such as board support packages. Experience with avionics communications interfaces such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, IEEE 1394, Ethernet, etc. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems including: knowledge of how processor caching works and the implications for software throughput, and experience with software architectures enforcing space and time partitioning Working knowledge of DO-178/DO-254 and/or similar standards, guidelines, and handbooks
