Who We Are: The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a New Orleans early childhood education leader, a fun-filled summer day camp, and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class, or a dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values but is welcome to everyone. The mission of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience, and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment. The Fitness Attendant will provide customer service to all members and assistance to those working out in the fitness center. Furthermore, the attendant will ensure that the fitness center and group exercise studios are tidy and clean. What You'll Do: Assist and engage with members daily. Have the ability to keep exercise equipment in a clean and neat state. Assist with all emergencies relative to the department and medical and non-medical incidents. Attend weekly staff meetings and conduct wellness orientations. Must have the ability to communicate effectively. The ideal candidate should be able to provide customer service to all members and assistance to those working out in the fitness center. What You'll Bring: Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent. Must be CPR certified or have the willingness to obtain.
