We’re seeking an Outside Sales Representative to identify new target buyers and upsell to current customers to achieve sales goals. The ideal candidate is a service-oriented outside sales expert who can prospect, present, and close deals efficiently. If you are looking to combine your communication and prospecting skills with your outside sales experience to leverage a more lucrative career in the industry, we want you on our team! Responsibilities: • Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information• Qualify prospective customers quickly by fact-finding to identify decision-makers, pain points, competition, budget, timeline, and other potential obstacles• Create a competitive analysis, identify industry and product trends, and position our brand as the clear and obvious choice• Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline from qualification to close stages• Surpass goals for monthly revenue expectations and lead or sales-generating activities• Keep bookkeeping systems, sales databases, customer records, and related organizational tools current to accurately report progress to monthly and quarterly sales quotas to stakeholders• Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients• Spend time listening to new and potential clients, assess their priorities and finances, and determine suitable insurance plan options that successfully meet their individual insurance needs• Develop and deliver risk management strategies for each customer based on their risk profile• Stay abreast of insurance industry protocols and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of all policy requirements, and monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction Qualifications: • You love talking and meeting with prospects, presenting to them, closing the deal, and asking for referrals• Team-focused, organized, self-starter with an orientation towards service, detail, problem-solving, and deadlines• Prefer a minimum of 2+ years in outside sales experience• Proven track record in sales• High school diploma required and some industry or product knowledge preferred• Sales experience preferred – go-getter mindset• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal• Desire to help others• Strong business acumen• Perseverance in the face of a challenge• Ability to engage your community and leverage personal networks/contacts• Bilingual Speaking (English/Spanish) A Plus Compensation: $65,000+ at plan About Company: About New York Life New York Life is a Fortune 100 company with a long history of doing good.
