JOB SUMMARY This position provides insight and guidance that assists with the achievement of strategic, financial and operational goals of the entire organization. This role is responsible for coordinating and continually improving the annual planning and monthly reforecasting processes, working with budget owners to ensure the process aligns with business needs. The Financial Analyst will also provide analytical support for new opportunities and ongoing operations; offering value added analysis and reporting throughout the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines. Partner with others throughout the organization to facilitate decision making by providing analysis that transforms financial data into actionable information Assist in the development of the planning and reforecasting processes for both the operational and capital budgets, including working with budget owners, data collection and generating reports Build financial models that have the flexibility to allow end users to generate what-if scenarios Efficiently gather data from available sources to create clear, concise and professional reports and analyses Analyze, interpret and communicate variances to budget owners Maintain and distribute weekly and monthly reports Work with a focus on continuously improving analyses, processes and reporting Plan, lead and organize projects across the organization Continually grow knowledge of software applications to ensure effective utilization of existing systems and research capabilities of other potential solutions Research and respond to internal and external questions providing appropriate resolution in a timely, accurate and professional manner OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job) 1. Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration 2. Licensing None required 3. Experience Required: Two or more years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related field Preferred: Three or more years of experience in the grocery industry 4. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor Must possess an inquisitive mindset and work well with ambiguity Desire to grow within the organization Strong business acumen, specifically in the grocery industry Advanced technical skills with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, data warehouse reporting software and budgeting software Experience with Workday Adaptive and data warehouse reporting tools a plus Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines Extensive experience in building financial models Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Ability to present quantitative information in a manner that facilitates rapid understanding of the key issues by audiences with varying degrees of financial acumen Excellent attention to detail and effective organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) Strong understanding of data structure and reporting tools Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English OTHER REQUIREMENTS/EQUIPMENT USED, IF APPLICABLE Equipment Used Office Equipment (this may include computer, adding machine, phone, scanner, copier and fax machine) Job Posted by ApplicantPro
