Job Summary Due to our growth and the launch of new products, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a team of researchers, engineers, and scientists as a remote Field Application Scientist based in our Mid Atlantic territory.The successful candidate will provide complex applications support, troubleshooting and diagnosis on NanoCellect systems in life science research settings. The Field Applications scientist will be responsible for performing product demonstrations, teaching users, and training scientists on how to develop assays using our cell sorters to address critical scientific needs. The Field Applications Scientist will closely partner with the marketing and sales team to achieve sales goals by delivering specific pre- and post-sales related customer support activities.We are looking for a team player with a passion for science and technology. Responsibilities and Duties Provide pre and post sales technical and scientific presentations to a wide array of audiences on the use of NanoCellect’s technology. Perform product demonstrations of NanoCellect’s products to potential customers. Provide comprehensive training and support for NanoCellect’s product technology, including remote and on-site software and instruments. Solve customer escalations effectively by providing ongoing support and troubleshooting in person, via phone, email, and remote connection. Create and maintain customer contact and support related information in the company enterprise database. Act as a liaison between the customer and technical support, marketing, and sales teams. Serve as the voice of the customer to product management for product improvements and new applications. Assist in the creation and review of technical materials including manuals, application notes, and presentations. Participate in new product development projects as a representative of the commercial and technical support teams. Serve as a representative of NanoCellect at conferences, trade shows, and external meetings, as required. Qualifications and Skills Ph.D. in Biology related field (or BS/MS with equivalent experience) and strong background working in cell analysis. 2-5 years of hands-on, laboratory experience in cell analysis, protein biochemistry, immunology, drug discovery/molecular pharmacology, or related field is required. 2+ years of experience with Flow Cytometry, FACS and Cell Sorting, and hands-on analysis of data from complex systems. Skilled in troubleshooting software, instrumentation, applications, and analysis of data from cell sorters and flow cytometers. Detailed-oriented, independent thinker with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external contacts. Team player who can effectively integrate internal and field-based activities across functions to support customer needs. The successful individual will also need to balance and prioritize the requirements of several stakeholders in an ever-changing environment. Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in all aspects of customer service. Must have the willingness and ability to travel overnight 50% of the time This position requires the use of hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer. This position requires the ability to move and or lift equipment and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
