MHA is an approved site for the New Jersey Behavioral Healthcare Provider Loan Redemption Program. Shift: Part-time, Flexible schedule. 20 hours per week.Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) provides relief to families experiencing emotional stress due to caregiving for someone who has a mental illness. By supporting families through the use of Support Groups, Workshops, Counseling, Respite and Advocacy, families may find relief from feelings of frustration, embarrassment, resentment, grief and anger.Using Family Dynamics and Family Systems Theory the Part-time Family Support Clinician will: Implement intake and assessments of each family's strengths and coping abilities. Engages families into therapeutic relationships offering supportive counseling in the office, home or at a designated community setting. Co-facilitates ongoing family support groups as well as design and facilitate short term, specialized family support groups; i.e. Sibling Support or Support For Children of Parents With Mental Illness, etc. Designs, and co-facilitates psycho-educational sessions for families and for the community, providing them with needed information on mental health. Provide families with supportive telephone counseling and consultation. Collaborate and consult with other treatment providers on behalf of the family's needs. Designs and provides family respite services to help reduce caregiver stress. Handle telephone and walk-in requests for Information and Referrals. Comply with all mandated documentation and In-Service trainings. Expedite all steps to become eligible to provide graduate clinical supervision. Statistical Reporting plus other duties as assigned by the Senior Director. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director. Qualifications: Master's Degree in a related field Professional Licensure is required, Ie. LSW, LAC, LCSW or LPC. Minimum of (3) years of clinical experience in a mental health setting Familiarity with the family experience in relation to mental illness. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Evening hours are sometimes required. Must have a valid Driver's License in in the state of residence.
