Position Title: Family Engagement Collaborative Program ManagerReports to: Principal, Director of Catholic Identity and Mission, and Chief Schools OfficerLocation: Northside Schools Employment Classification: Full time, Exempt, 12 month position Join the Transformation of Catholic Education in Milwaukee! Seton Catholic Schools is a network of K-8 Catholic schools in Milwaukee. There are currently 14 schools serving nearly 3,000 students. Seton Catholic Schools plans to expand to 24 schools serving 8,000 students, making Seton the largest Catholic elementary school network in the country. Seton is strengthening academics, faith formation and life-long outcomes for all students and is a unique model on the front end of transforming Catholic education in Milwaukee and across the nation. Role Summary : To provide leadership and management of the Family Engagement program and to fully support the 5 Northside schools and Northside families to ensure the entire family has access to resources that will meet many critical needs. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Integrate community resources for parents through a primary point of contact for the Northside schools. Integrate school parishes, pastors, and parish members within the family engagement collaborative to identify specific needs of the community, care for the spiritual lives of our families, and invite all participants to become members of the parish as an evangelizing arm of the Church. Promote all family engagement opportunities as an opportunity to engage with Christ and the Catholic Church. Increase collaboration with existing and new community partners who can help meet the following needs of families: appropriate housing, food security and consistent meals, stable employment, obtaining valid identification and/or driver’s license, GED classes, and access to healthcare Ability to connect with the schools and other Northside Seton Catholic School families and have a “whatever it takes attitude” to increase parent involvement and engagement. Create parent support groups and ensure that parent participation remains high throughout the school year in these support groups. Foster a shared belief that all families can have access to opportunities and that all kids are capable of learning with the right support. Expand current and create meaningful and sustainable new partnerships with community organizations such as Marquette University Nursing programing, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, Feeding America, North Milwaukee Salvation Army, Northwest Healthcare, Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology (WSPP), and Catholic Charities. Develop relationships between school staff, community partners, and parents. Provide training and support to staff so they can better connect with school families. Ability to coordinate the logistics behind a variety of events (i.e., food distributions). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will supervise an office support staff person that will have some time allocated to this program. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for promoting the successful launch of our Family Engagement program by: Communicating effectively with school families about opportunities that exist within the program and ensuring at least 50% of families consistently participate and benefit from the first year of the program. Development of a measurement tool that will support the program by tracking the impact of the program with the goal of expanding the program to other southside Seton schools. Strengthening current local partnerships and building new partnerships that will benefit school families. Maintaining communication with school staff and providing resources and strategies for how staff can better connect with school families. Leading effective parent engagement meetings that build capacity in parents so that they can support their child’s academic and social needs. Acting with integrity, with fairness, and in an ethical manner consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Communicating with the school leadership team and Seton Catholic Schools leadership team on both successes and challenges as the program evolves. Engaging families in prayer and the life of the parish. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Highly organized. Able to meet regular deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate with various stakeholders. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to drive, prepare technology for presentations, and have a basic working knowledge of Google documents. The position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours and meet multiple demands from several people. Compensation: Competitive pay commensurate with experience.
