GRANITE EDVANCE: OUR STORY Granite Edvance (formerly the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation, or the NHHEAF Network) is located in Concord, NH, and is focused on helping New Hampshire students plan for their future - whether they are looking to continue their education, pursue the trades, or enter the workforce - by providing free counseling and resources, scholarships, and private student loans. In this role, you will be a go-to expert on all things FAFSA, scholarships, loan repayment, and the financial aid process. Your days will include conducting one-on-one consultations, providing resources and individualized guidance, as well as delivering presentations to a variety of stakeholders on topics related to funding future educational goals. Regular travel within New Hampshire will be required, with some occasional travel outside of the state. As a member of our Education & Career Pathways team, you'll also support our work in providing information and guidance to students as they navigate the many aspects of the college planning process, including college applications, admissions and college success, and will share general information related to Granite Edvance's products and services. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL This dynamic role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create connections and establish rapport across a wide range of individuals and backgrounds. Your deep expertise in financial aid, college admissions, and/or school counseling will be invaluable as you assist students and families navigate the complexities of funding their education. Bi-lingual/Spanish-speaking skills are a plus! Preferred knowledge and experience we're seeking includes: A minimum of 1 to 2 years working in a similar position, with responsibility for providing guidance, support and advising to students and families regarding the college planning process, with a preference for expertise in Financial Aid and FAFSA. Understanding of the potential financial barriers facing students over the course of their college journey Strong presentation and public-speaking skills, with an ability to interact with a wide range of participants and groups of all sizes Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously A strong desire to work with individuals across a wide range of socio-economic demographics Self-motivated, and able to thrive in a frequently changing environment, working with minimal supervision. Ability to work between the hours of 8am and 6pm, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary. Ability to travel as required by position or business needs; up to 80% to travel to local schools, partners, conferences, and meetings, within and occasionally, outside of New Hampshire. This is a full-time hybrid position, with a requirement to work in person at our Concord office a minimum of three days per week. Additional on-site expectations may be required for onboarding and training, or as necessitated by business need.
