While Moss Utilities was founded in 2016, the Moss family has a legacy in the utility construction industry in Dallas-Fort Worth dating back to the early 1900's. Come join the Moss Utilities journey and family legacy. Job Description Moss Utilities is looking to hire a talented and highly motivated Estimator. Candidates should have heavy civil construction skills and an experience in estimating commercial & private development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, etc. Responsibilities Estimating self-performed projects which typically range from 1 million to 10 million dollars; including pricing labor, equipment, and material costs. Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases. Ability to produce detailed, accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings. Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate. Identify constructability issues through the estimating process. Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives. Education And/or Work Experience Requirements 2 - 4 years heavy civil estimating ideal, but not required. We will train the right candidate that fits our culture. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel HCSS/Planswift/Bluebeam Experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate. Strong organization and planning skills Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines Salary based on qualifications & experience.
