Internally known as a Commissioning Drives Engineering Tech, this person will be responsible for leading and performing on-site commissioning of drive systems at customer facilities. Here are some more great details below!Job Title: Commissioning Drives Engineering TechJob Type: Full-time/Direct HireShift: DaysPay: Will depend upon skillset/experience but client is targeting $30-40/hourWork Perks: This client is proud to offer competitive pay with profit sharing bonus, comprehensive health care packages, PTO, 401k with match, family-oriented environment, and more!Here is what you will be responsible for as their Commissioning Drives Engineering Tech: * Commission drive systems and perform drive system checkouts on Rockwell & Siemens systems on the plant assembly floor. * Ensure project software and schematics have been updated and properly archived * Work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to optimize the performance of machines. * Provide customers technical assistance and training in troubleshooting and servicing of drive systems. * Function include setting up drives network, tuning drives, calibrating load cells, and instructing machine operators and maintenance personnel and taking corrective actions to insure the equipment performs to spec. * Troubleshoot designs and hardware during checkout * Liaison to customer while machine is in installation and startup phase * Participate in pre-commission meetings with Customers and the commissioning team. * Provide feedback to manuals on non-standard equipment set up proceduresWe're actively seeking Engineering Techs with the following background profile: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred * 2-4 years of prior expertise in commissioning/servicing drive systems is required * Advanced technical acumen with Microsoft platforms/networking capabilities, Siemens and Rockwell Drives programming * Advanced training and hands on experience in electrical applications and drive systems. * Skilled in reading/interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings * Willingness and ability to travel domestically and to foreign countries. Time spent at customers' plants may approach 60% of work requirements.This role commands a strong communicator who is very well-organized, knowledgeable, professional and customer oriented.
