Founded in 1963 and based in West Chester, PA, Transwall is a developer and manufacturer of moveable floor-to-ceiling and architectural wall systems. Summary Develop and implement solutions and enhancements for new and existing product linesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:· Engineer changes to existing product design for improved performance, appearance, and functionality· Evaluate product and modify designs to improve manufacturability, ease of installation and flexibility in the field· Create and modify engineering detailed drawings, assembly drawings and bills of material· Direct designs and establish specifications and standards· Apply basic principles to original design to meet newly developed customer requirements· Perform product training to field sales personnel and installers· Provide installers with on-site and remote assistance· Generate installation instructions· Initiate and conduct tests of new product designs Requirements: · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks· Excellent problem-solving skills· SolidWorks proficiency preferred, AutoCAD experience beneficial· Detail oriented· Ability to interact with all levels of the organization· Some travel required Qualifications: · 0-5 years engineering experience in related field· Bachelor's or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field of study Pay $60-80k Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
