Practice Area: Energy and Oil & Gas - Transactional,Energy and Oil & Gas - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Energy Transition Transactional Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have substantial transactional experience in energy transition projects, including hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable fuels, lithium extraction, and related areas.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide legal counsel and representation on complex transactional and project development matters related to energy transition projects.Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, including EPC and BOP contracts, equipment supply agreements, procurement agreements, OM agreements, and other project-related contracts.Advise on mergers and acquisitions, land purchase agreements, offtake agreements (e.g., power purchase agreements), pore space leases, hydrogen purchase agreements, and lithium extraction leases.Conduct legal research, due diligence, and risk assessments pertaining to energy transition projects.Assist clients in transitioning from traditional upstream and midstream oil and gas projects to the energy transition sector.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.Admission to and active membership in the Bar of Massachusetts or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.3-6 years of relevant experience in transactional law, focusing on energy transition projects.Proven experience negotiating and drafting complex transactional documents.Familiarity with energy industry regulations and emerging trends in energy transition.Education and Certifications:JD from an ABA-approved law school.Admission to the Bar of Massachusetts or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.Skills:Strong drafting and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.Benefits: The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Retirement Plan, Disability and Life Insurance, Adoption Assistance, and Backup Care for Dependents.
