The attorney will defend and prosecute various employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and contract cases.Duties:Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a diverse range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions.Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on employment law matters.Requirements:JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.3+ years of litigation experience, preferably focused on employment law.Admission to the New York State Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.Familiarity with current agency procedures at both state and federal levels.Strong written and oral communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational, time management, and project management abilities.Dedicated to professionalism, collegiality, and working effectively both independently and as part of a team.Desired Qualifications:Experience handling class action lawsuits.Previous involvement in higher education-related employment matters.Skills:Litigation and trial advocacy skills.Legal research and writing proficiency.Client counseling and negotiation abilities.Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
