The ideal candidate should have expertise in qualified plans, multiemployer plans, health and welfare plans, and ACA compliance. Additionally, significant experience in mergers and acquisitions or restructuring within the employee benefits practice area is required.Duties:Provide legal advice and counsel on various employee benefits matters, including ERISA compliance, plan administration, and fiduciary responsibilities.Draft and review employee benefits documents such as plan amendments, summary plan descriptions, and participant communications.Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements under ACA and other applicable laws affecting employee benefits.Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in employee benefits law.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.2-4 years of experience practicing employee benefits law, focusing on ERISA and qualified plans.Experience in mergers and acquisitions or restructuring involving employee benefits issues.Strong understanding of health and welfare plans, including COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents. To date, there are six-hundred and fifty seasoned attorneys staffed at this location. There are eight areas of practice.
