Electrical Design Engineer Industry: Manufacturing Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight Hours: 37.5 ( standard hours 8am - 5pm, Mon - Thu, 8am - 12.30pm Fri)Days: Monday - Friday Duration: Permanent Duties: Delivery or timely and accurate electrical design solutions, including documentation and drawings, Electrical equipment and cable selection, Generate fully specified Bills of Materials for Procurement, Prepare systems layouts, detailed drawings and schematic concepts to the Drawing Office, Provide technical support to Production, Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement. Experience: Must have previous Electrical Design experience within an engineering or manufacturing experience and an HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, COMPEX is desirable, along with hazardous area knowledge and an understanding of marine, offshore, oil and gas operations, Programming experience with Siemens PLC Systems is an advantage, Must have a good level of computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems, Must be able to work well on own initiative to deadlines, as well as part of a team, with good communication skills. Must be flexible with working hours with the flexibility to travel if required.
