Job Overview The Assistant, Editorial Content owns the storytelling and content creation for fashion marketing in their area of responsibility. They translate fashion marketing content across print, digital (sitelet/email), mobile, and social platforms to ensure a cohesive and unified 360-degree fashion marketing message. They collaborate closely with their counterparts to ensure alignment of fashion marketing content with seasonal trends, designated themes, and corporate initiatives. Acting as a key liaison between merchandising, project management, and creative teams, they also collaborate closely with merchants on product selection across all fashion marketing channels. This individual possesses a strong product sensibility and the ability to influence effectively at multiple levels. What You Will Do Attend seasonal market appointments with Buyers to select marketing content and gain insight into seasonal product direction. Stay informed about emerging fashion marketing trends through continuous competitive analysis across fashion magazines, catalogs, digital guides, emails, social media, and mobile applications. Proactively contribute new and innovative fashion marketing ideas across all channels. Adhere to and manage the marketing workflow calendar to ensure timely planning and execution of all projects. Take a more influential role in strategic fashion marketing initiatives by actively engaging with marketing and creative counterparts. Take ownership of the fashion content marketing process. Coordinate with merchants on all marketing initiatives including product direction, storytelling, sample collection, due dates, and the MAS turn-in process for full-price fashion books, digital sitelets, static pages, social media posts, newspaper and magazine ads. Attend turn-ins to present products to the creative, marketing, and project management teams. Act as an internal project manager ensuring comprehensive execution of assigned projects across all channels from inception through completion, including collaborating with marketing on briefs, overseeing print/digital turn-ins, managing digital testing and product pools, and finalizing mobile and social applications. Manage mid-tier campaigns and/or multiple smaller areas of the business. Foster a collaborative culture within the fashion office and with cross-functional partners including merchants, marketing, site merchandising, project management, and creative teams. Maintaining proactive engagement and network consistency is crucial. Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Skills You Will Need Storytelling and Content Creation: Proficiency in crafting compelling narratives and creating engaging content across various platforms including print, digital, mobile, and social media. Fashion Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of fashion marketing principles, trends, and consumer behavior within the industry. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute innovative ideas to enhance fashion marketing strategies across all channels. Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration and Influence: Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including merchandising, project management, creative, and marketing, with the ability to influence decisions and align content with overarching objectives. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in coordinating marketing initiatives, including product direction, sample collection, and adherence to workflow calendars. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas and articulate concepts to diverse stakeholders. Market Research and Analysis: Proactive in staying updated with emerging fashion trends and conducting competitive analysis across various media channels. Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives, leading mid-tier campaigns or smaller business areas effectively.
