Minimum Qualifications: The EKG Technician provides basic medical care to patients under the supervision of RNs/Physicians. The ECG Technician advocates for patient safety and protocol integrity, adheres to standards, and communicates effectively to ensure effective conduct of clinical trials and quality patient care. High School diploma or Equivalent Experience performing ECGs preferred Completion of ECG course preferred Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following: The ECG Technician competently performs routine electrocardiograms and holter application Demonstrates knowledge and ability to care for patient population Obtains good quality ECGs according to the patients schedule and protocol guidelines Addresses ECG queries as appropriate Assists RNs with performance of ECGs Prepares equipment for daily use and maintain cleanliness of ECG equipment Inventories and requests supplies as necessary Other duties as assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
