Pittsburgh Public Schools is accepting applications for the following position: Early Childhood Teacher Location: TBD School Year: 2024-2025 Qualifications: - Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field, with an Early Childhood Teaching certificate required (Pennsylvania Birth-3rd Grade or Pre-K to 4th Grade certification accepted). - Satisfactory experience in a preschool setting preferred. - Experience with curriculum & assessment implementation, lesson planning & standards alignment, and early childhood best practices. - Must have reliable transportation/personal vehicle. Endorsements Early Childhood N-3, Early Elementary PK-4 Competencies: - Documenting/Recording Information: Observe and evaluate children's daily performance, behavior, social development, and physical health, via anecdotal notes. Assess children according to the established assessment schedule. Plan weekly lesson plans, aligning with federal and state early learning standards. Organize and follow a posted daily schedule. Adhere to all grant-mandated requirements.
