Summary The Childcare Network is a grant-funded, non-profit resource and referral agency for the 16 counties in Northern Virginia. We offer professional development and support to over 3000 providers through our partnership with Child Care Aware of Northern Virginia. We are also the USDA sponsor for family childcare providers, and a sponsor for the Al?s Pals program for childcare centers.The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization, including program development, resource allocation, and business operations. The Director establishes clear goals and direction for the organization, inspires and leads a diverse team of professionals, advises and informs the board of directors, and champions the organization's vision, goals, and values. Duties The Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for staff, programs, expansion, and execution of The Childcare Network?s mission. The ED will initially develop deep knowledge of the field, core programs, operations, and business plans. Excellent organizational skills. Commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation. Financial oversight and budgeting. Experience managing and monitoring government sponsored grants. The ability to expand revenue generating through grant writing and fundraising activities to support existing programs operations and regional expansion. Requirements Successful candidates will have a bachelor?s degree in nonprofit management or administration with 5 years experience. Have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Candidate must be able to pass a background check and be legally able to work in the United States. Nice To Haves A minimum of 5 years of experience working in early childhood education. Knowledge of best practices, quality rating systems, and Virginia licensing regulations.
