As the top leader of the university relations and recruiting function, the UR&R Director will lead its transformation and growth in order to reinforce Northrop Grumman's position as a premier employer of choice for early career talent, and as a valued partner to universities and community colleges to support research, student development, and local communities. The UR&R Director will provide strategic thought leadership, influence internal and external stakeholders, and draw on subject matter expertise to achieve key outcomes. As a member of Northrop Grumman's TA senior leadership team, the UR&R Director partners closely with business leadership, HR, Corporate Responsibility, and other TA functions to expand the company's talent pipeline through innovative, effective, and efficient programs and solutions. Based out of the Falls Church, VA corporate office, we will consider the incumbent working at any major NG location, or remote with ability to travel at least 10%. Reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition, responsibilities include:* Lead NGC strategy and oversee execution of priorities supporting an enterprise-wide, integrated approach to partnering with educational institutions, encompassing recruiting, research, alumni engagement, skilling, STEM pipeline growth, and DE&I. Educational institutions include 4-year universities, graduate schools, community colleges, K-12, trade associations, training and workforce development organizations.* Lead enterprise university recruiting function of ~70 team members including hard-lined corporate team and dotted-line sector teams who extend over 4,000 full-time and 3,500 internship offers annually through 200+ campus events and 11 achievement conferences.* Develop entry-level and internship recruiting strategies and lead their operationalization and optimization including sourcing and pipeline management, program management, candidate engagement and experience, stakeholder management, communications, and reporting and analytics.* Manage relationships with, and represent NGC to, university senior administration and faculty of 50+ partnership universities and community colleges to shape initiatives and investments supporting STEM pipelines, critical skill development, alumni engagement, and research.* Shape and drive execution of community college strategy to deliver outcomes for skilling, STEM transfers, and recruiting through bridge program relationships, internal Community College Community of Practice, and partnerships with workforce development organizations.* Identify opportunities to drive enterprise-level business outcomes through improved operational efficiency, innovative practices, technology and change management; drive execution with project management rigor.* Collaborate with Sector TA leader peers to ensure UR&R strategies and practices support Sector-specific needs and staffing demands, while promoting a OneNG candidate experience.* Provide leadership and guidance to overall TA function as a member of the Talent Acquisition Council.* Partner with internal stakeholders (CTO, Sector technical leadership, university research working group) and external faculty to ensure alignment on technology research and development efforts.* Partner with Global Corporate Responsibility and DE&I to allocate and administer Aid to Higher education grants to support strategic initiatives.* Lead partner school executive sponsors and UR&R advisory board to shape partnership school roadmaps and ensure progress on strategic initiatives. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in HR, TA or related field with 12+ years of TA experience or Master's degree in HR related field with 10+ years of TA experience.* Ability to lead through influence and align stakeholders around a shared purpose,* Ability to demonstrate strategic thought leadership, complex problem-solving, and represent the organization to internal and external senior leadership* Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.* Experience managing and leading teams and enabling an inclusive, development-focused, and high-performance culture.* Experience leading large-scale functional transformation and change initiatives.* Strong business acumen, understanding of business needs, ability to leverage data insights to influence decisions to yield business outcomes.* Ability to manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, budget.* Executive level verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-level university relations and recruiting function and team(s).* Experience working in A&D or other government contracting or consulting.* Experience planning and executing work using Agile methodology.* Experience implementing HR technology. Salary Range: $149,700 - $259,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
