In the United States, Tradebe Environmental Services has 30 sites and serves customers from a broad range of markets, from petrochemicals to aerospace and hospitals, with unparalleled safety and quality standards.This position can be based anywhere in the United States and will require frequent travel.The OpportunityTradebe is looking for a Director of Radioactive Operations to oversee and drive the profitability and growth of our Radioactive Line of Business (LOB). This role encompasses P&L management, business development, fieldwork oversight, and client consulting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiencies, exploring sustainable solutions, and fostering vendor relationships.Key Job Responsibilities * Oversee the financial performance of Radioactive LOB, ensuring profitability and growth * Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities * Perform and supervise technical fieldwork and manage fieldwork crews * Provide expert consulting services in relation to radioactive waste to clients across the United States * Conduct site visits, assessments, and radiation surveys to understand and address client needs * Aid in the preparation and completion of requests for bids and proposals * Manage radioactive recycling and processing activities, focusing on improving efficiencies and business margins * Identify and implement new, sustainable outlets for managing radioactive materials Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, Physics, Nuclear Engineering or related field required * Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in radiological materials management. * Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is preferred * Ability to perform fieldwork as needed; experience with radiometric measuring devices is required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate the organizational value proposition effectively * Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the United States to support the sales team and provide technical expertise Why Tradebe is Right for You! * Competitive pay and benefits * Student loan repayment assistance * Medical (including telehealth), dental and vision * 401k Retirement match * Flexible spending accounts (FSA) * Health savings accounts (HSA) * Agency paid, basic life and AD&D insurance * Career ladders, professional development, and promotion opportunities * Leadership opportunities * Great work environment and culture * And MORE!Tradebe is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
