DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT (HYBRID) SHARP Literacy is looking for a mission-driven development professional with broad experience including fundraising, events management and marketing. Strategic planning and implementation a plus. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong communication skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment and has a minimum of five years of related experience. POSITION DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW The Director of Operations & Development coordinates collaborative initiatives and ongoing activities in accordance with the strategic plan and drives strong cross-team systems to lead change, remove obstacles and create organization-wide energy. Will develop and ensure implementation of efficient and effective interdepartmental team and department structures, and documented processes and procedures. The Director oversees company operations and supports an inclusive culture that allows team members to thrive and meet organizational outcomes. Will provide leadership in strengthening internal communication throughout the organization; creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment. Main Areas of Responsibility Oversees the implementation of the Strategic Plan Development Fundraising Major gifts, Individuals, Planned Giving Development Grant and Financial Reporting Database Management Marketing and Communications Planning, Strategy, Messaging Direct mail and email campaigns Events (outsource) Primary Contact Three Main Annual Fundraisers Education Events DIRECT REPORT Marketing and Development Manager REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 5 years’ non-profit experience in development, events management and/or marketing High level of proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PPT), Teams, Zoom and donor database – Raisers Edge preferred.
