What We’re Looking For: In this new role, FoodCorps is seeking a Director of Campaigns who will work as part of the Marketing and Communications team and in collaboration with the Impact Programs, Fundraising, and Policy and Advocacy teams. The role will be primarily responsible for designing and implementing marketing and communications campaigns in support of our goals toward movement building and supporter engagement. They will be responsible for designing the full supporter journey, commissioning and editing multi-channel content (on- and offline), and ensuring all audiences are engaged toward specific goals and outcomes, including advocacy and fundraising. In addition, they will be the primary contact for our PR firm to ensure campaigns are fully supported by earned media support as needed. They will coordinate on strategy with several internal teams and ensure seamless project management to get campaigns planned, launched, and measured for effectiveness. This position is in the Impact Operations department reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications, and will manage three team members. This is a full-time, fully remote position. Occasional travel will be required. Who You Are: You are passionate about FoodCorps’ mission and have a dedication to food and education justice and racial equity. You are a self-starter who can conceptualize compelling campaigns to get people invested in and take action toward local and national change. You are detail-oriented about every part of a supporter’s journey and can create compelling actions, whether around issue education, advocacy, or fundraising. You know how to break down a campaign into manageable tasks and project manage multiple campaigns at once. You know it’s important to evaluate and measure outcomes at every step of the way, and you can adjust strategy, budget, and tactics in real time. You care about creating a team environment that prioritizes collaboration, learning and career growth. Primary Responsibilities: In collaboration with internal leaders and guided by the organizational strategy, design offline and online advocacy and communications campaigns for key audiences at key moments throughout the year. Lead & mentor a team of 3 people: Sr. Donor Comms Manager, Sr. Advocacy Comms Manager, Campaigns Coordinator (new & forthcoming). Collaborate with the full Marketing & Communications team to ensure campaign strategies are aligned across channels, implement supporter journeys and create content as needed. Collaborate closely with the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing to ensure goal and calendar alignment. Manage campaigns content calendar and ensure all content going out is connected to org goals. Manage FoodCorps’ external PR team to coordinate press outreach and messaging in support of campaign and thought leadership. Ensure all campaign outcomes are measured and tracked for continuous improvement. Prepare presentations to senior leaders and executive team throughout the year on campaign strategies and learnings. Measures of Success: By the end of year 1, the Director of Campaigns will have: Built successful relationships with internal stakeholders and have established consistent workflows to launch campaigns collaboratively. Built a catalog of CTAs that will drive audience engagement and support our organizational goals towards movement building, advocacy and fundraising. Launched several campaigns targeting specific audiences and in support of key policy moments throughout the year. A deep understanding of our programs and policy work to be able to gather stories and content in support of campaigns. Established and reported on key campaign metrics. Presented to the staff about our overall campaigning strategy and how staff can engage in campaigning work.
