Day to day as a Direct Support Professional At Hills & Dales Child Development Center, we are on the lookout for passionate Direct Support Professionals who are eager to make a profound impact in the lives of children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential personal care services, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene support, while ensuring safety through proper lifting with the aid of supportive equipment. You'll play a key role in documenting client progress toward personal goals, communicating effectively with teams to enhance our clients' experiences, and monitoring their health and wellness. Additionally, you will accompany clients on exciting outings, support work-skills development, and help them express their emotions constructively.With your advocacy and resourcefulness, you'll create a supportive environment that fosters well-being while closely following detailed dietary instructions and identifying potential hazards.
