About our Adult Foster Care division - At Home Living A DSP+ functions as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities. We believe in our clients and their right to live in the least-restrictive environment. DSP (1:1) - In this position, you will be working 1:1 with a client in a group home setting. This individual can be very expressive, he loves to listen to music and dance around the living room. There is rarely a dull moment when he is around! He also enjoys other activities such as playing games and with his sensory items and partaking in the day program. This individual has a rare seizure disorder with mild to severe symptoms, which requires him to have 24/7 1:1 care from a trained professional. Staff will be exposed to various behaviors and needs from this individual, but he is overall a joy to be around. All training will be provided, including online training and shadow shifts. Before working directly with this client, we will ensure that staff members are prepared and have support to succeed in the 1:1 role. Location: Afton, MN Compensation: $21.00/hour Part-Time Hours of Position: Evenings (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 10pm -8am) Flexible scheduling Typical Job Duties: Cooking and cleaning Activities of the daily living Medication administration & documentation Socializing with residents (playing games, watching movies, going for walks, bonfires, etc.) Going to appointments & outings with clients (shopping, movies, fishing, etc.) & Most importantly - Making a difference in the lives of others Requirements: 18 years or older Pass a MN DHS Background Study Available to work every other weekend Current Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Clean Record Benefits: Health Insurance (Full-Time, 1 Year Waiting Period for Part-Time) Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Supplemental Insurance (Short-Term Disability, Life, Accident, Critical Illness) Paid Time Off Performance-Based Wage Increases Employee Assistance Program
