Category: Non-exempt Position Title: Development and Quality Specialist Reports to: Director of Human Resources General Purpose: The Development and Quality Specialist (DQS) has a comprehensive knowledge of policies, processes , procedures and the training to support Easter Seals Goodwill of ND, Inc. The DQS takes a lead responsibility in developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to support our quality services and team members. The DQS ensures Easter Seals Goodwill ND, Inc. (ESGWND) follows Best Practices by periodically reviewing service policies, processes and procedures to identify and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and/or accuracy of services , documentation, and training. Essential Functions: Be fully aware and positively promote the Mission, Vision and Values of ESGWND. Be part of an integrated team that helps facilitate the regulatory processes in providing analytics and data to represent organizational efforts in accreditation and licensing. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance learning, quality and efficiency of services by implementing best practices and innovative solutions for quality, learning, development, and training. Regularly assess training and development needs and opportunities for growth through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers/directors. Develop training programs and materials, including manuals, learning courses, and workshops and facilitate organization wide trainings to maintain well prepared staff members to include but not limited to CPR/1 st aid, DD modules, new hire/annual training, Monitor and review the effectiveness and impact of quality and training initiatives on overall organizational performance. Strong knowledge of ESGWND policies and procedures. Strong knowledge of Developmental Disability modules through Minot State University and the University’s requirements for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Strong knowledge of data collection and measurement and the ability to identify trends and areas of improvement or opportunities for growth. Qualifications/Basic Position Requirements: Degree in Education or a related field Working in quality assurance, and/or training and development preferred. Proficiency in data analysis and quality management technology. Attention to detail and commitment to quality services and training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and managing multiple projects and deadlines Maintain accurate information and efficient record keeping systems.
