Reports to: Digital Director Location: Washington, D.C., (Hybrid - 3 days in office & 2 days remote each week) Internship dates: September 9, 2024 - November 22, 2024 Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt Salary: $20/hour not to exceed 40 hours/week Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is a nonprofit effort composed of a growing team of communications, research, operations, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. Position Summary : A s a Democracy Campaigns Intern, you'll… Work with The Hub Project’s Democracy Digital team to support successful digital campaigns across multiple platforms, including quickly mobilizing around rapid-response moments Support day-to-day social media programs on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media accounts Write compelling social media, email, SMS, and web copy as needed for various campaigns and projects Assist with communicating our messaging to social media creators (influencers) to help us authentically reach new audiences Help perform website updates using content management tools like WordPress, SquareSpace, and/or Wix Collaborate with our campaigns, research, and communications teams on interdisciplinary projects Perform other duties as assigned About you: You’re passionate about issues related to social justice You’re committed to progressive values and prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion You’re an effective multitasker and can manage multiple projects with concurrent deadlines You’re willing to share your point of view during brainstorming sessions to help guide overall digital strategy You’re flexible, organized, and detail-oriented You enjoy writing and look forward to expanding your writing skills You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment You've got a sense of humor, entrepreneurialism, and an openness to evolving responsibilities Hiring Statement The Hub Project is a project of New Venture Fund (NVF), a 501(c)(3) public charity that incubates new and innovative public-interest projects and grant-making programs.
