Job Summary: The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions that support our business applications and data needs. This role requires expertise in database design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop database solutions to store and retrieve company data efficiently. Create database schemas, tables, views, and functions based on project requirements. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and database tuning. Implement data security and integrity measures to protect sensitive information. Ensure data quality and accuracy through data cleansing and validation processes. Collaborate with software developers and IT teams to integrate databases with applications. Perform database migrations, upgrades, and backups as required. Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution. Document database architecture, processes, and procedures. Stay informed about database trends and technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role. Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Strong SQL programming skills and experience with stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Experience with database design principles, data modeling, and normalization. Knowledge of database performance monitoring and tuning techniques. Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools. Experience with database security and compliance standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
