About this Role: As a Data Engineer Architect , you will lead a team of data engineers to build and maintain our modern data platform. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and other stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute on a roadmap, which will help deliver actionable insights to the rest of the organization and external business partners. As the most senior member of the Data Engineering team, you will be expected to coach and mentor your fellow team members and help them grow. The data engineering team at Farmer’s Fridge consists of architects, data engineers, data scientists, and visualization experts. For this position, we are looking for a technical individual who is comfortable leading a team of data engineers in architectural discussions and decisions. What You’ll Do: Coding and Architecture Developing and implementing data models, schemas, and architectures to ensure data is organized, stored, and retrieved efficiently Designing databases and data pipelines that support robust data integration and transformation processes Identifying and resolving data-related issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to ensure smooth operation and data accessibility for end-users and applications Ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy through the implementation of data governance policies and procedures Work with data engineering to groom & plan sprints to ensure that projects remain on track for agreed-upon timelines Collaborate with stakeholders and the Engineering Manager to prioritize and groom backlog Campaign our modern data platform to internal and external stakeholders and help users understand the data Ensure that our platform and data products are current with industry standards and following best practices Work with the other data engineers to architect and design MLOps pipelines, platform data models, and overall platform architecture Develop deep relationships with business stakeholders, analytics team, and executive leadership Who You Are… 5+ years of experience in the data space 3+ years of experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a curious mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. 1 year of AWS experience with services like DynamoDB, Aurora, Kinesis, Lambda, S3. With similar programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java. 3+ years of experience with SQL 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and dbt Experience with data orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow Benefits at Farmer's Fridge: In This Together - We stay connected, whether in person or virtually.
