The Cybersecurity Specialist will support t he Space Force contract at the Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Cybersecurity (CS) support to the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) across the Enterprise. Participate in managing the LTRS Access Management Plan (LAMP) effort across the Range. Participate and lead in the efforts to create FISMA packages and renew LTRS Authorities to Operate (ATO). Perform DoD Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities in accordance with the DIACAP and RMF process. Develop, modify, and review A&A documentation. Analyze the CS architecture of Range systems for compliance with DoD policies; develop and execute security test plans; and use security tools such as ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, and execution of STIGs. Assess the CS risk of Range systems documenting them in formal risk assessments and supporting artifacts associated with the A&A process. Organize, develop, and present briefings, written summaries, and written reports incorporating narrative, tabular and/or graphic elements. Provide CS Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to project teams. Determine the security posture and CS accreditation readiness of systems and architectures. Support engineering design teams by assessing network and system security design features and making recommendations concerning overall security accreditation readiness and compliance with IA/CS guidance and best practices. Conduct Information Systems vulnerability assessment, risk mitigation, and Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) development and tracking; understanding and application of mitigation strategies. Research policies, procedures, standards, and guidance, and apply under specific conditions for the protection of information and information systems. Mentor CS Operation Specialists and Associates. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED: This position has been posted at multiple levels (must meet minimum level indicated). Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information. This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one. DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II Certified (Security + CE or equivalent) or ability to obtain withing six (6) months of hire. Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or related field. Must have 2+ years of recent and related work experience. Strong understanding of DIACAP, RMF, ACAS, and Vulnerability Management. Virtualization expertise such as ESXI, ZEN, and VMWare. Knowledge of CS application software for example: Nessus, NMAP, SCAP, and STIG Viewer. Technical expertise of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server 20XX, Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows XP and Linux/Unix. Networking-System Administration expertise to include knowledge of switches/routers, network protocols, account management, and the evaluation of audit logs. WORK LOCATION: This position is currently located onsite but will offer a hybrid work schedule after completion of initial training. This position may require some travel. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED: All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers. Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives. Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented. Must be organized with good time management skills. Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time). Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
