Job Overview:The Criminal Defense Attorney will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney, managing a caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team. They will advise clients on legal matters, attend hearings, manage court appearances, and provide legal analysis. Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their case.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise them on best strategies following each hearing.Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and conducting legal research.Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.Manage workload of cases and provide legal analysis to determine possible case benefits.Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or arguments against prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts supporting client positions.Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels. Requirements:Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Skills:Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Knowledge of criminal law precedents and procedures.
