Job Title: Controller Company Overview Are you experienced in construction or manufacturing? Do you have 8+ years in financial management? Are you ready to join a 100% employee-owned company? If so, this position is for you!As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing effective internal controls, and driving financial decision-making across the organization. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports to aid decision-making. Financial Partnership: Work with departments to analyze results and recommend improvements. Risk Management: Mitigate financial risks and manage investments. Audit Oversight: Coordinate external audits and tax filings. Insurance Portfolio: Manage the insurance portfolio. Budget and Forecasting: Handle annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Experience in contracting, construction, or manufacturing preferred. 8+ years in financial management with GAAP knowledge. Proven financial reporting, internal controls, and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Problem-solving and process improvement abilities. Experience in audits, tax compliance, and risk management. Proficient in financial software and ERP systems. Skills/Abilities: Reliability and trustworthiness. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn accounting software and use office equipment. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidential records. Physical Requirements: Prolonged desk work.
