Our customers are at the center of everything we do and we're looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care.This technical, hands-on, roleis responsible for the definition and implementation of security policies, enforcement, and automation as a team member ofthe Cloud Security Engineering team.Participates withthe Cloud Security Engineering teamby defining, implementing, or maturing cloud controls to defend against current as well as emerging threats.Seekingengaged team members that perform the following duties: Collaborate with Information Risk Management to ensure all cloud products / services are meeting configuration and vulnerability management compliance PromotesDevSecOpsculture including training / outreach to application development teams with special focus on security controls (IAM, security compliance, vulnerability scanning). Design, build, and/or deploy tools and reports that provide visibility into cloud accounts, instances, and services Stay current on cloud security vulnerabilities, policies, standards, regulations to ensure cloud environments are managing risk appropriately Continuously work with business partners on vulnerability remediation strategies Partner with security teams to enhance cloud security solutionsand establish preventative controls to support security needs via automation Partner with security teams to ensure migrated workloads maintain compliance and governance requirements Implement and support data protection and encryption strategies for cloud services, products, and data Implement and support best practice requirements for logging and monitoring Troubleshoot and responds to cloud security incidents andassist with resolutions Required Skills: Experience with Azure Cloud platforms (having AWS or GCP would be a plus) Technicalexperience in either engineering or operations of security tools Previous experience executing security strategies with IAM, Vulnerability Management, Data protection, Logging and Monitoring, Network Security tools, or Encryption Experience with implementing of CI / CD pipeline security, automation tools, and cloud provisioning tools Understanding of Container and/or server-less security and Code Orchestration Experience with Scripting and Programming (bash/sh, Python, PowerShell, Java, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaboration experience Listening, consulting, and documentation skills Demonstrated ability to build and mature processes and metrics Demonstrated ability to define, build and mature processes and metrics Desired Skills: Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks Previous experience in Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit role preferred Understanding of defensive controls (IPS, Application Firewalls, HIPS, AV, ...) The solutions you build are based on Nationwide's architectural standards, technology roadmaps, industry trends and business requirements. You'll focus on collaboration, data, systems, storage, middleware, network, security and contact center technology products. You'll also be accountable for the operational aspects and management for the above products according to the business requirements and defined service level agreements (SLAs). Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities. Designsandimplementsstandardbuilds/templatesforalltechnologyplatforms. Drivesproductimprovementsthroughoptimization,enhancementsandtheimplementation of new features andfunctions. WorkscontinuouslywithotherTechnologyEngineeringteamsandTechnology Architectureto ensure the success of products. Conducts"proofof concept"labsforenhancements,newsolutionsandcompetitive bake-offs. Designsstandardandcustomtechnologysolutionsfor businesspartnerprojects,includingpre- productiontesting,performancetuning,handoffsandcertification. Conductsproactiveandreactivemonitoringtodetect,predictandresolveabnormal conditions in theenvironment. Collaborates with vendors to help drive design innovation inproductenhancements and improvements. Executes on production engineering processes, incident management, rootcauseanalysis,problemmanagement,changemanagement,release management and knowledgemanagement. Providescomplexproductionsupportforalltechnologyplatforms. Provides oversight for technical labs and developmentenvironments. May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Reporting Relationships: Reports to AVP, Director or Manager Technology Engineering Manager/Technology Product Manager. Typical Skills and Experiences: Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or a related field is preferred. License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged (i.e., AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security). Experience: Six years or more experiencewiththemostcomplexintegrated solutionswith an ability to design and develop and modify new and existing solutions for specialized needs. Experiencewithmultipletechnologiesandwithinoneormoredomains. Experience with automation of deployment of solution configurations. Experienceintraining/guidingless experienced staff. Experience with solutions: IaaS, PaaS, SaaSand package solutions. Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong communication skills, knowledge of planning, management and execution of Accelerated Solutions Deliver framework, Information Security acumen. Influencing, negotiating and priority setting needed. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Vice President and HR Business Partner.
