My client, a leading design-build firm in Madison, is actively seeking a construction estimator to join their team. In this role you will be directly colalborating with the project management staff on unique commercial projects. This is truly a rare opportunity as this firm prides themselves on promoting from within. Client DetailsMy client is a mid-sized general contractor that works on unique commercial and industrial projects. They have developed and excellent market reputation that has resulted in a multitude of repeat clients. Additionally, they pride themselves on a culture that values both hard-work and enjoying time spent at work.My client at a glance: Design/Build GC Vast majority of work is negotiated with repeat clients Industrial and commercial builds make up the bulk of their portfolio (both renovations and ground-up) Self-perform concrete and carpentry (sub out other trades) Pride themselves on promoting from withinDescription Evaluate project plans and documents to determine accurate cost estimates. Develop detailed and competitive bids for construction projects. Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify risks and include contingencies in estimates. Monitor project budgets and adjust forecasts as needed. Maintain records of cost-related data and discrepancies.
