Community Organizer / Coalition Coordinator

Description:
This position is responsible for implementing an initiative to support a drug-free community in Patrick County as a Coalition Coordinator. This position will oversee project development, community education, and marketing and networking while working with community partners and staff to ensure that strategies are implemented. Should have a demonstrated knowledge of the theoretical base of prevention strategies including community-based planning, general knowledge of substance use preventions, coalition development and management, demonstrated ability to design and conduct programs for different populations, work effectively with staff, community partners and youth, and foster community engagement and mobilization. Position requires a flexible schedule to accommodate evening meetings and project activities and needs outside of regular business hours, including travel to conferences. Bachelor's degree preferred in field related to public health, behavioral health or human services. Full Time with Benefits Package.
