Mauch Chunk Trust Company Job Description Job Title: Community Office Manager Revision Date: November 2022 Reports to: Customer Banking Director Supervises: Asst. C.O.M. and Personal Bankers GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary focus is on managing and directing the overall branch activities of the Community Office(s) to reach established revenue goals for growth and profitability and operational goals for compliance and efficiency. Responsible for supporting the expansion of existing business and development of new business across all bank product lines for the specific market area of the Community Office through active participation in the sales management process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop relationships with the Community Office's Top Household Customers that include knowledge of the customer's banking needs and service expectations, evaluation of the customer's product use to determine optimal product utilization, and development of a calling plan for routine customer contact in conjunction with the Business Bankers. Manage Community Office business development efforts, which include, but are not limited to, in-branch sales, outbound calling, prospecting, and customer calling with the assigned Business Banker and internal business partners. Promote community relations for the office through representation in community organizations. Join at least two community organizations, with an emphasis on organizations where the office's target customers participate, to expand the manager's opportunities for future business development. Consider taking a leadership role in a community organization. Liaison with Community Office Advisory Board, develops agenda, plans, attends and participates in meetings, and provides information to CAB regarding prospects, products, programs, etc. Develop and maintain significant knowledge of the bank's product offerings with an emphasis on products most needed by the office's target customers and the bank's strategic focus. Is an active member of the office sales team, transacts customer sales and service duties, and is responsible for all inside sales activities. Promotes, models, and is accountable for branch adherence to Bank Customer Service Standards. Assure that the branch is properly staffed and that the employees are adequately trained and coached on product knowledge and selling techniques to meet revenue targets and customer service needs/standards. Respond to customer problems that have escalated to the manager level. Oversee branch overdraft accounts according to policy. Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and federal regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC. Responsible for the full review process of establishing performance expectations (goals) and the completion and delivery of evaluations. Acts as a mentor to Assistant Community Office Managers. Plays a positive role in the development of growth assigned department staff through excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong delegation skills, assuring a highly cross-trained staff and succession planning management. Demonstrates knowledge of, and adherence to, EEO policy; shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes a working environment free of harassment of any type; builds a diverse workforce and supports affirmative action. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform functions of Personal Banker as needed Perform functions of Assistant Community Manager as needed EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of demonstrated sales, leadership, and supervisory bank experience required Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels, both internal and external Thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements Comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's products and services Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships within the department and other Bank locations Completion of PBA Banking School is strongly preferred Basic knowledge of consumer lending and credit processes preferred PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate office equipment Ability to speak to and hear customers and other employees on the telephone and in person Body and motor skills sufficient to move from one office location to another Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well under pressure Ability to multi-task Self-sufficiency in approach to work and excellent prioritization and planning skills Ability to manage complex assignments independently while also working effectively as part of the team Ability to work in an accurate and organized manner to effectively manage related job pressures and deadlines
