Make adjustments to the programs as needed for new jobs. Help lead and instruct junior machinist. Run a variety of parts in Brass. MUST HAVES: Ability to set up CNC Machines (Two-Axis Lathes, HAAS Mill Machines, ACUMA LT2000, 8 Axis Lathes, Sugami Swiss Turning Lathes) Hands-on experience with Setting up and Programming CNC Machines. Ability to lead and mentor other machinists.NICE TO HAVE: Programming experience.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up CNC Machines Leadership of less experienced CNC operators and set-up personnel. Management of programs and other data such as offsets and tool data are essential. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 10 Years of experience setting up CNC Machines 10 years' experience setting up a variety of CNC machine tools such as lathes, multi-tasking lathes, swiss lathes, and machining centers. Must be able to do trigonometry and shop math. Must be able to select and or adjust speeds, feeds, and tools to get desired results. Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and use correct measuring instruments and techniques. Ability to troubleshoot and make quick decisions on the floor.
