The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction oftechnology initiatives and ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of the City's IT infrastructure.This role demands a visionary leader with hands-on expertise in systems administration and a deepunderstanding of cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the overall technology strategy aligned with the City's business goals. Lead and manage the IT department (currently five employees) while fostering, teamwork, innovationand efficiency. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the City's technology infrastructure. Function as a Windows Systems Administrator, managing Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, andNutanix environments. Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and ensure that disaster recovery plans are in place and regularlytested. Collaborate with other City executives to drive technological advancements and improvements. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers. Technical Expertise Required: Proficiency in Windows Systems Administration, including Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, andNutanix. Strong understanding of Cisco and Meraki technologies. Proven experience in leading IT projects and teams. In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and cloud computing. Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues promptly. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified NetworkProfessional) are a plus.
