We have imminent opportunities at our Baytown location for a Chemical Services Operator with a starting pay rate of $18.00. The associate must be hardworking and safety oriented. Benefits will be available from the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Showing respect to the company, coworkers, and business partners, no matter the circumstance Responsibilities: Clean and inspect catalyst totes and ensure meet DOT requirements then store. Trans loading product from railcar using operating equipment into sacks, drums, etc. Maintain high level of housekeeping in work area. Equipment inspected daily and cleaned as required. Operate a forklift unloading or loading totes, drums. Must be able to stoop, crawl and work in elevated area above rail car and platforms. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to multitask and complete task with sense of urgency Safety oriented Reliable / Team Player Flexible work schedule: to work any hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, may require work on Saturdays if needed. Minimum Requirements: Must have 1-3 years of warehouse experience in a logistics environment. High school diploma or GED Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The name comes from a street where the first warehouses were located. After William Hermann took over and provided services, he successfully revitalized during the 1980s. In 1988, Hermann Services acquired Palmer as part of an effort to expand its operations regionally. The Palmer name was used for 9 years until 1997, when the division was renamed Hermann Warehouse Southwest, but it was short-lived after the division was renamed in 2000. The Palmer name was restored at this time with a slight change to our current trade name, Palmer Logistics. Today, Palmer Logistics is a successful regional provider based on the fundamental philosophies that have enabled the Hermann family's success for four generations: reliability, customer service, and uncompromising integrity. Brett Mears, son of the late William Hermann, runs the daily operations as our president.
