Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Shift Type: Days Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Hours/Day: 8 Shift Notes: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend On Call Requirements: On-call 2-3 nights per week Hourly Rate: Varies based on experience (Submit Best) Position Overview: The Certified Surgical Tech is a vital member of the surgical team responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality care of patients during surgical procedures. This position handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgery and is responsible for maintaining the sterile field. The role requires an understanding of surgical procedures and anticipation of the surgeon's needs. This facility performs surgeries in ortho, general surgery, podiatry, pain management, urology, and endoscopy. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the operating room. Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and ensure a sterile field is maintained. Work closely with the surgical team to provide optimal care for patients. Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Required Qualifications: Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited through ARC/STA (Accreditation Review Committee/Education in Surgical Technology). BLS certification (AHA). Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment. Individuals trained in the U.S. armed forces will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of recent scrubbing experience in an acute-care facility. Work Environment: High-stress, physically demanding environment with potential exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions. Must be able to push, pull, and lift heavy objects, including patients. Standing and walking for extended periods, with lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
