Required Duties, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Proven work experience as a Peer Recovery Specialist or similar role. Motivational interviewing and active listening skills to further support clients. Ability to understand and meet the needs of the client through respectful, courteous, and caring interactions with patients, families, and other health professionals. Knowledge and skill to teach and engage in basic problem-solving strategies to support individual clients in self-directed recovery. Knowledge and skill sufficient to use community resources necessary for independent living and the ability to teach those skills to other individuals. Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to organizational policy related to the patient's rights to confidential care. Ability to work with health personnel and clients of varying ethnic backgrounds. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Other duties as assigned by peer supervisor or management. Minimum Qualifications: Must hold a current, unencumbered Peer Recovery credential from the Minnesota Certification Board, the Upper Midwest Indian Council on Addictive Disorders, or the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Current valid driver’s license. Consistent access to an insured, reliable vehicle. Self-declaration of recovery for 1 year or longer. Who is Kyros? Join Location: Life Rebuilders- 3049 Columbus Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407 Working Hours: 40 hours per week between 6 AM-10 PM as needed Compensation: Hourly range for full time is expected to be $22-$25 with benefits eligibility including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO and more!
