The Opportunity: Ocean Dermatology is a fast paced, fast growing private practice looking for an experienced medical assistant to join our Jackson, NJ team. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a family environment with a great work-life balance. Along with a team of dedicated professionals, you’ll have the resources and support to serve our patients with knowledge, skill, and compassion. You’re your typical day will include: Performing a variety of clinical tasks, including taking patient histories, documenting medical information, preparing and assisting with dermatological procedures, and providing wound care. Preparing examination rooms, sanitize medical instruments, and maintain a clean and organized clinical workspace Ensuring accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), following HIPAA guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality Educating patients on treatment plans, skincare routines, and post-procedure care instructions. Collaborating closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient flow, enhance clinic efficiency, and support positive patient outcomes Your skills and qualifications will include: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology clinic or similar setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of dermatological procedures, conditions, and treatment Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, effectively multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Your benefits include: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Very generous paid time off Opportunities for professional development Collaborative work environment that fosters growth and teamwork Powered by JazzHR
