SUMMARY This professional is responsible for the day-to-day operations and coordination of PACE services that are delivered to participants. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Center Management: • Coordinates operations of activities, nutrition, personal care, clinical services, rehabilitation and other services of the center within program standards and regulations.• Develops and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.• Ensures adequacy of equipment and supplies. Oversees equipment maintenance, scheduling, replacement, and repair.• Ensures that infection control, fire safety, and related safety procedures are followed. Interdisciplinary Group (IDT): • Provides input and assists Center Director with morning meetings for development and implementation of care plans.• Works with Center Director to ensure document at ion of team meetings is maintained and changes are recorded in individual care plans.• Conducts monthly chart audit for administrative components; Ensures records are updated/ accurate and meet all regulatory requirements Staff Management: • Responsible for general management oversight for day car e personnel in the center including but not limited to; interviewing, hiring Interviews, recommends for hire, orients/ trains, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates appropriate day care personnel in the center.• Ensures staffing is maintained at the appropriate levels to provide safe and effective care.• Coordinates orientation and oversees in- service programs for staff to meet regulatory requirements.• Meets regularly with direct reports to review goals, trends, and performance measures to facilitate change as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The supervisory responsibilities for this position include direct supervision of all day program personnel. Additional supervisory responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to accommodate the growth and development of the PACE Center. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE) • Bachelor's degree in health administration field or combination of equivalent experience.• Minimum two years of management experience in a community-based program caring for older adults.• One year of experience working with a frail or elderly population is required.• Experience in a PACE program highly desirable.• Able to plan, direct, and organize the work of others.• Able to interpret State and Federal requirements as they apply to the program.• Skilled in building strong working relationships and in team development.• Strong leadership and organizational skills.• Proven problem solving and communication skills.• Ability to travel to off-site locations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS CPR Certification, Valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
