Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments. Competitive pay: Average $1,550 per week/$80,600 yearly Starting pay of .62 cpm Reaching top pay of .65 cpm in 1.5 years With .01 cpm increase every 180 days Average 2,000 miles per week $27.50 stop pay Average 6 stops per week Detention, layover, and breakdown pay when applicable Company sponsored per diem program Weekly home time, with some mid-week home time Routes run Sunday - Saturday, most drivers are home during the week for at least 2 days depending on the dispatch Deliver pet supplies to customer's retail stores in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida Early morning and late afternoon dispatch Some stores require drivers to unload with electric pallet jack Vendor backhauls are live load and 3rd party backhauls are live load/unload When running local/ backhaul will make $25 / hour CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver Benefits: Paid time off including 8 paid holidays Excellent insurance coverage that includes medical, prescription, dental, vision and hearing starting as low as $97.55/week for family plans and $37.36week for individual plans effective after 30 days Rider policy available for legally married spouses Profit Sharing plan allowsyou to share in the rewards of our efforts, with a portion of our profits given back to you as monthly direct deposits into your retirement account Referral rewards - cash bonuses for referrals Averitt's fleet includes local, dedicated, and regional truck driver jobs. Must live within a 100-mile radius Must have 1 year of verifable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience Must be 21 years of age or older Must have Class A CDL No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too close, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality) No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Essential functions: Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs Count freight Complete fuel tickets Obtain sales leads Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only) Perform pre-trip inspections Drive Regular predictable attendance Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level Call us at (877) 838-XXXX or Apply Online Below!
