This permanent full-time position gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments. Competitive pay: Average $1,658 per week/$86,216 per year Start at .60 cpm Reaching top pay of .62 cpm within 12 months Average 1,850 miles per week Unloading pay is .185 per case which could average $360 per trailer Average $15/ week for tub pick up (tub/ container that holds the small merchandise) Company sponsored per diem program Home weekly Dispatches Sunday afternoon through Monday noon Sunday dispatch gets home on Friday; Monday dispatch gets home Friday evening or Saturday morning Drivers take pre-loaded trailers in Birmingham, AL and deliver to Cracker Barrel stores (merchandise, not food) Solo drivers cover the Eastern half of U.S. Drivers typically run 2 routes per week Runs vary throughout the week Merchandise for each store is divided by a bulkhead; freight is not all mixed together Must set up ramp and two-wheel freight into the customer's storeroom (most stops take 1+ hours to unload) All drivers will ride with a Dedicated Averitt driver on this account for the first week to ensure a complete understanding of the customer's processes and procedures. Must live within a 100-mile radius Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience Must be 21 years of age or older Drivers must have Class A CDL No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality) No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Essential functions: Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs Count freight Complete fuel tickets Obtain sales leads Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only) Perform pre-trip inspections Drive Regular predictable attendance Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level Call us at (877) 838-XXXX or Apply Online Below!
