Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments. Competitive pay: Average $1,475 per week/$76,700 per year Starting pay .54 cpm Yearly increase on contract anniversary Average of 1,800 - 2,000 miles per week; guaranteed minimum of 1,500 miles per week Stop pay of $25 per stop Average 20 stops per week Average stop is 30 min. Detention and breakdown pay (if necessary) Monday-Friday; will be out 2-3 nights a week on average NO WEEKEND WORK! Run will go from any direction from Greensboro, NC up to 300 miles one-way radius to deliver product, sometimes will pick up inbound product Will hook to pre-loaded trailers to start the day Deliver building material dry wall, lumber, etc. to retail and non-retail locations (some palletized) No touch freight, live unload Strap each load, straps provided Tarp in inclement weather only If tarping is required, an additional $10 per stop = $35/ per stop pay Provided hard hats and vests must always be worn when out of the truck on property Steel toe shoes required, driver will need to purchase Sleeper tractors CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver Benefits: Paid time off including 8 paid holidays Excellent insurance coverage that includes medical, prescription, dental, vision and hearing starting as low as $97.55/week for family plans and $37.35/week for individual plans effective after 30 days Rider policy available for legally married spouses Profit Sharing plan allowsyou to share in the rewards of our efforts, with a portion of our profits given back to you as monthly direct deposits into your retirement account Referral rewards - cash bonuses for referrals Averitt's fleet includes local, dedicated, and regional truck driver jobs. Must live within a 100-mile radius Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience Drivers must have a Class A CDL Must be 21 years of age No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality) No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Essential functions: Load freight -lift requirement: 80 lbs Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs Lift and move side kits -lift requirements: 46 lbs Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs Apply and remove tarp(s) on load Secure load with chains and hardware -lift requirements: 80 lbs Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer/load Count freight Complete fuel tickets Complete delivery receipt Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs Perform pre-trip inspections Drive Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time Regular predictable attendance Call us at (877) 838-XXXX or Apply Online Below!
