Join a dynamic team as a Cook at Zaxby's, where you'll create a great guest experience by serving quality food in a timely manner. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to company standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring food and beverages are handled according to safety regulations and guidelines. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and cooking food items according to company standards Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Ensuring food and beverages are handled according to safety regulations and guidelines Receiving and stocking inventory, preparing, cooking and assembling orders Maintaining awareness of current promotions Enthusiastically representing the Zaxby's brand Assisting with guest service and front of house operations Safely operating food preparation and cooking equipment Maintaining product levels in assigned stations in order to be prepared for immediate needs Preparing and cooking food items according to company standards Accurately assembling and packaging guest orders Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Keeping work areas clean and organized Maintaining equipment and informing management of maintenance needs Assisting with inventory and storage management Receiving and stocking incoming inventory deliveries Holding and storing food items following food safety guidelines Informing management when inventory is needed Cleaning and organizing storage areas Additional responsibilities include: Completing all tasks in a timely manner Working safely and following all safety guidelines and procedures Performing other duties as assigned Requirements: Must be 16 years of age or older Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week Sit, stand, and walk continuously Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the environment Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment
