Cash Application Manager Houston, TX, USA Req #315 Monday, July 1, 2024 Cash Application Manager Job Summary: The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for the full cash application process for the business, applying payments quickly and accurately, & supporting Cash Application clerks as well as providing immediate customer response. Responsibilities: * Monthly reconciliation of all Trade AR and Unapplied cash * Balancing workload and conflicting priorities requiring excellent time management. * Lead Daily collection and posting of cash received * Post payments received including AFT/EFT's, Wires, & checks * Reconcile and record all incoming checks and prepare daily deposits. * Balance cash posted to bank deposits daily. * Answer customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. * Apply credits. * Perform posting reversals resulting from returned checks. * Process payment reapplications and adjustments to existing invoice remittances when necessary * Ensure overall efficiency of cash application function and timely application of cash to accurately report delinquency as well as timely posting of late charges. * May serve as backup to accounts receivable. If we are combining, we can remove * Generate Ad Hoc reports as needed. * Recommend changes and enhancements to system and / or processes. * Maintain accurate customer and office files and records. * Monthly AR Roll forward preparation and ensure reconciliation to the GL Skills, experience and/or qualifications: * Associates degree or equivalent experience or comparable education. Emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred . * 2+ years' experience in office support or banking role with an emphasis on cash application or Accounts Receivable * Ability to interface with customers and coworkers on a professional and personable level * Ability to utilize computer and navigate software comfortably * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) * Knowledge of D365 or strong desire to learn. * Proficiency in Excel with Pivot Tables and Vlookups * Superior attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, strong time management Physical demands: * Ability to sit and work in front of a computer for majority of the day * Minor lifting of files and/or boxes
